Creative Movement and Mindfulness

The Basic Level is a journey of personal experience and growth during which the basics of our methodology are taught.

Content

This level is made up of three cycles of three seminars each. Nine seminars in total. Completion of the three cycles of the Basic Level will allow access to the Professional Level.
Seminar hours:
Saturday from 11.30 to 18.30 and Sunday from 9.30 to 16.30.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Introduction to the discipline

To explore the potentials of interconnection between a Mindfulness approach and Creative Movement.
To expand awareness of the body / mind through movement.
To develop attention, consciousness and presence.

THE VALUE OF BEING PRESENT TO ONESELF

To recognise the qualities of attention needed for being present in the here and now. To recognise internal bodily impulses for movement. To develop kinesthetic listening, fundamental for being present on body/mind levels.

BEING WITH ONESELF IN ORDER TO BE WITH OTHERS

Exploring the connection between Relational Mindfulness and Creative Movement. Becoming aware of how to synchronise, attune and/or be in empathy/compassion with others.

CONSCIOUSNESS THAT COMES FROM CREATING IN A GROUP

Exploring the relationship between play and creative improvisation. Being present to oneself and improvising with others.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Getting to Know the Creative Process

To develop awareness of the creative process. To explore the transformative aspects of creating. To reactivate the spirit of play. To consolidate the affirmation of the Self and the exchange with others through the play of the body in movement. To learn what elements to use that stimulate creativity (sound-music, images, artistic material, objects).

3 Seminars of 14 Hours / 4 Credits Each

THE EXPERIENCE AND THE MODULATION OF THE ENERGY FLOW. CREATIVE USE OF ITS STRENGTH

To distinguish and modulate the energy flow of one’s movements.
To discover connections of one’s movement flow with the consciousness of being present. To discover appropriate use of one’s body strength in different kinds of creative expression. Introduction of the Rudolph Laban model of movement analysis (Effort Shape theory).

DISCOVERING AND TRANSFORMING SPACE INSIDE AND AROUND ONESELF.

To experience with Mindfulness practices in relation to internal personal creative space and to external connection to others and the world.

The experience of time

The experience of time rhythms as a form of presence
Exploration of our personal rhythms, resonance with others and rhythms of nature. Laban’s model and contribution in understanding how one experiences time.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Understanding the creative process

To acquire practical and theoretical understanding of psychological aspects of relationships that make creativity possible. To deepen knowledge of one’s personal style of movement through improvisation and composition.

MOVEMENT AND FORMS OF VITALITY

To discover how, through our kinesthetic sense, we resonate with intensity, form, duration and flow to everything. How flow contributes to the birth of the aesthetic experience.

THE SENSES AND THEIR RESONANCE. OBJECTS AND MATERIALS - STIMULATION FOR CREATIVITY

We touch the world with our skin, we listen to the silent message of things. The softness, the rigidity, the warmth and the roughness of materials stimulate our creativity. Discover how the intensification of the senses can condition the form and the expressive body action.

PERSONAL CREATIVE STYLE AND THE FLOW OF BEING

To experience how the body changes in connection with the psyche and how the psyche changes in the course of work with the body. To begin to understand how our habitual way of moving reflects our inner experience and has a particular form in terms of the body’s flow, inner strength and inner attitude towards space and time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I receive the certificate of the basic level of the training?

When you have completed the three cycles and have completed a written paper you will receive the Basic Level Certificate of Creative Movement.

When can I begin the training?

It is not a problem if you cannot start a cycle from the beginning. There is no need to wait. It is possible to start the training whenever it is possible for you. You will be able to participate in the seminars that you have not previously taken at a later date.

How much does it cost?

The cost of each seminar is 180 euros. The entire Basic Level is 1,620 euros.
